Interested in bringing your show to Army @ The Fringe?

We’re looking to expand Army @ The Fringe in 2020 and beyond, and are keen to start conversations with companies interested in bringing their show to our venue.

SPACES

For the past three years, our Drill Hall has been transformed into a 120 seat theatre space. In year one, we had a thrust seating configuration; for the past two years, it has been end on. The space tends to be designed in response to the productions, and we are open to exploring less Fringe-typical configurations.

We also have the scope to use other spaces throughout the building – this year, for example, The Story of Books have transformed our band room into an immersive set for Unicorns, Almost.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Theatre. Dance. Physical Theatre. Music. Opera. We’re interested in curating a diverse body of work in association with Summerhall.

In 2019, our programme celebrates life in and out of uniform. Our programme will always feature some work of a military nature, but will not be limited to it. We’re simply looking for the most exciting new work that would benefit from being housed within a unique venue.

WHAT WE OFFER

We work very closely with our companies to support them on their journey to the festival and typically offer longer get-ins and more favourable box office split agreements. Previous companies have been supported by the British Army in research in development stages, something we’ll continue to offer to the right projects.

DROP IN THROUGHOUT AUGUST

Whilst the venue is set up for the festival, we’re keen to meet companies during August.

We’re also hosting a Creatives Drop-In on Friday 23rd August from 1pm. This will be an opportunity to have a drink, take a look around the venue and have a creative conversation about future ideas for Army @ The Fringe.
