4* EdFringe Review – Read Review

A verbatim play about ordinary young men in extraordinary times.

Bomb Happy evocatively brings to life the powerful testimonies of five Normandy Veterans, inexperienced young conscripts, who find themselves part of one of the most dangerous operations of World War II. As the action unfolds, memories – humorous and harrowing – collide, allowing a close-up experience of life on the frontline, whilst wives’ accounts highlight the lifelong impact of PTSD.

Veterans will be in attendance for Friday and Saturday performances, giving audiences an opportunity to meet them after the show.

Everwitch Theatre are particularly keen to connect with secondary school audiences for their Tuesday – Thursday performances. If you’re associated with a school and interested in discussing a group booking, please contact us here.

Meet The Veterans & Post-Show Discussion – Friday 16th August

Meet veterans Ken Smith and Ken Cooke in the bar after the performance, followed by an informal discussion between members of the cast and a member of the Armed Forces.

Meet The Veterans – Saturday 17th, Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th August

Join veterans Ken Smith and Ken Cooke in the bar after the performance, speaking about their experiences and the show.
